How these resources were developed

The Guides and Practice Companions are grounded in participatory action research carried out across six European countries and all phases of education. They were tested and refined through 19 case studies in real educational contexts.

They invite practitioners to explore and adapt AELD in their own contexts. By exploring, adapting, and sharing AELD, you contribute to keeping democracy alive – as something we learn, sense, and create together.
